How many hours before my flight should I be at LAX?

Passengers of the local flights should arrive at the airport two hours before the departure and three hours before an international route departure. Please note that from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays, the airport is especially overloaded, which can provoke queues. So, some time to spare will not be superfluous.

Is LAX departures upper or lower level?

The main LAX structures are arranged in the shape of the U letter, with a two-level road and parking spots placed inside of the 'U' and all the terminal buildings on the outside. LAX departure terminals can be found on the upper floor of LAX. Check the detailed airport map to quickly find necessary locations.

Where should you drop off passengers at LAX Airport?

Those drivers who intend to drop off passengers at LAX should keep in mind that access to the airport building is currently restricted to those with valid tickets, assistants of ticketed travelers, and airport staff. This measure was introduced for healthy and safety reasons. Travelers can be dropped off in the Terminal Parking Structures based on the upper floor (Departures area).

How many departure gates does LAX have?

LAX has a total of 146 gates spread across nine passenger terminals. Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) has at its disposal 18 gates. In the T1 facility, travelers can find the gates numbered 9 to 18B. In T2, Gates 21-28 are situated. Los Angeles Airport departures in T3 has four boarding gates (30 - 33), while T4, T5, and T6 boarding areas are divided into 10 departure gates: Gates 40 - 49, 50 - 59, and 60 - 69 respectively. The boarding for flights departing from T7 and T8 is carried out from Gates 70-88.

Can I take my dog to LAX?

Pets are allowed at LAX, but keep in mind that dogs off-leash is prohibited at the airport premise with the only exception being in special fenced-in relief stations.

Travelers can walk pets in one of three outdoor dog parks and eight indoor relief areas. To reach the outdoor spots, move to the Lower (Arrivals) floor. Once you've passed the safety control point, you will see the indoor pet relief stations next to Gates 13, 21, 52B, 62, 73, the T3 atrium, and on either side of the TBIT/T-4 Bridge.

The airport's pet policy demands to keep pets inside their carriers except when going through security or at a pet relief station.
